Pushpa 2 box office collection day 5: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been ruling the box office since its release, marking a landmark success in Indian cinema. After an exceptional weekend run, the film faced the critical litmus test on Monday. According to Sacnilk, despite witnessing a 55 per cent drop in collections on Monday, the movie managed to mint Rs 64.1 crore, taking its net domestic collection to Rs 593.1 crore. Notably, Pushpa 2 has earned more from its Hindi collections than its Telugu ones, with Rs 331.7 crore coming from its Hindi shows and Rs 211.7 crore from its Telugu shows.
Pushpa 2’s Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions also contributed significantly, with Rs 34.45 crore, Rs 11.2 crore, and Rs 4.05 crore, respectively. The film recorded a 38.33 per cent occupancy rate across its Telugu shows and a higher 40.11 percent occupancy across its Hindi shows. On its fourth day, Pushpa 2 had amassed Rs 829 crore worldwide, and it crossed the Rs 900 crore mark on the fifth day of its release.
For comparison, Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 to date, earned Rs 494.5 crore by the end of its first week. Pushpa 2, however, crossed the Rs 500 crore milestone in India within just four days of its release. If the current trend continues, the film is likely to enter the Rs 1000 crore club within a week. Furthermore, since Pushpa 2 has surpassed Rs 900 crore by Day 5, it has overtaken the lifetime worldwide collection of Stree 2, which stands at Rs 874.58 crore.
